What is a Bridge
A blockchain bridge, otherwise known as a cross-chain bridge, connects two blockchains and allows users to send cryptocurrency from one chain to the other. For example, if you have SpaceDawgs ($DAWGS) from the ethereum blockchain and want to trade or swap it on the binance smartchain , you can do that through the bridge.
Why Bridge?
One of the biggest problems of blockchain was the inability to work together. Each blockchain is limited by the walls of its own domain. Some bridges are more/less efficient than others and have higher gas fees.
Blockchain bridges enable token transfers, smart contracts and data exchange, and other feedback and instructions between two independent platforms allowing investors to use multiple blockchains with the same cryptocurrency.
How to Bridge
There are several platforms you can use to bridge your cryptocurrency if allowed by developers such as Cross-Chain Bridge and Multichain.
